The Rock: Born Dwayne Douglas Johnson in Haywood, California, in May 1972. He made his WWE debut in 1996 as Rocky Maiva, part of the Nation of Domination team, eventually taking leadership of the Nation and the persona The Rock. He remained in wrestling until 2003, having been WWE World Champion 7 times. He took time out in 2000 to begin his acting career with parts in The Mummy Returns and an episode of the TV series Star Trek: Voyager (playing an alien wrestler). He married Dany Garcia in 1997 and they have a daughter, Simone Alexandra. The Rock has since starred in several block buster movies including a prequel to The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King (2002).
