Zinedine Zidane: Born Marseille, France, June 1972. He first played professional First Division football in 1991 for Cannes, quickly making a name for himself in the rankings. In 1996 he moved to Italian team, Juventus, and remained there until 2001, when he was transferred to Real Madrid for a record £46 Million. He played for France in their successful 1998 World Cup campaign, winning the Golden Ball for himself. Zidane was named FIFA player of the year in 1998, 2000 and 2003.

Fabien Barthez: Fabien Alain Barthez (born 28 June 1971 in Lavelanet) is a French football player who played the position of goalkeeper. One of the best and most successful goalkeepers to play the sport he played with the French national team, he won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000 and reached the final of the 2006 World Cup. He shares the record for most World Cup final clean sheets with Peter Shilton, with 10. Professionally, he has kept goal for his clubs to a Champions League title and several Ligue 1 and Premier League championships.

Thierry Henry: Born August 1977 in Paris, France. Thierry played for Ulis, Versailles, Monaco, and Juventus before coming to Arsenal. Known as a 'gentleman' on the pitch, he has only been sent off twice in his entire career so far. As with many sports stars Thierry is becoming something of a celebrity off the pitch too, as the face of the Renault Clio (Va Va Voom).
