Cherie Blair: Born Cherie Booth in Bury, Greater Manchester (September 1954). She is the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair and a successful lawyer (using her maiden name). She became a barrister in 1976 and Queen’s Counsel in 1995. In 1999 she was appointed a Recorder (Permanent part-time judge) in the County Court and Crown Court. She specialises in employment, discrimination and public law and has sometimes represented claimants taking cases against the UK government. Cherie has made several public faux pas, in Melbourne 2003 she was told to take a few items for free and helped herself to sixty-eight items (later paying £2,000), and being paid thousands of pounds for talking at charity events to raise awareness of poverty.

Tony Blair: Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, was born on the 6th May 1953 in Edinburgh Scotland. He is the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Educated at Durham Choristers School and Fettes College in Edinburgh. He is married to Cherie Booth and has three sons, and one daughter. He has led the Labour party since 1994, he brought Labour in to power with a landslide victory in the 1997 general election replacing John Major. Tony is now the longest-serving Prime Minister and the only person to have led the party to three consecutive general elections.
